What to know about this newsletter: Style Advice, Mindset Shifts & Inspiration
Why Style Mail?
I’m Paul Julch, a personal wardrobe stylist. And I believe that everyone can have great style – every lifestyle, every body, every budget.
But style isn’t just buying the latest trend or clicking links on social media. Style is personal. Style is individual. And style is an evolution. Because life evolves – so your style needs to evolve with it.
I’ve loved the transformational nature of clothes since I was little & hand-sewed clothes for my dolls. And after 20+ year career in fashion retail, I started my wardrobe styling business – because I got tired of working in an industry focused on making you buy more clothes. And instead, I wanted to blend my fashion world experience with my psychology background – and focus on being mindful with your wardrobe. And making purposeful decisions. And prioritizing how clothes make you feel.
Style Mail is where I meet you in the middle. It lives between the bite-sized advice I share on Instagram: @urbsuburbstyle & the high touch experience I provide to my one-on-one clients. It’s where I share deeper dives into the challenges my clients are facing. It’s where I demystify the overwhelming notion of ‘style’. It’s where I give you practical, actionable tips & style strategies that I’ve used with over 400 clients. And it’s where you can have thoughtful conversations around getting dressed & feeling good in clothes.
Why subscribe?
If you’re bored with what’s in your closet. If you have a hard time getting dressed. If your wardrobe reflects the life (or body) you used to have. It might be time for some advice & inspiration.
And let’s face it – I can only share so much on social media. And even then, you’re depending on a temperamental algorithm to possibly see (or possibly miss) my latest tips. So, rather than hoping to catch some style guidance – how about getting it on purpose? And if you’re not ready to commit to a one-on-one styling services, Style Mail is the best place for ideas to update, elevate & evolve your style.
If you subscribe to Style Mail VIP - aka the paid version of Style Mail - you’ll hear from me (almost) weekly. And you’ll get everything I share in the free version (below), plus:
One of my client's look books each month - with about 30 outfits I've created for her. So, you'll see exactly how she's wearing what we bought together (and how she's combining new pieces with what she already owned).
Shoppable links to a bunch of items in the look books - so you'll not only get outfit inspiration - you'll be able to buy some of the same (or similar) styles.
A 'Style Challenge' every month - with a prompt (or two) to inspire new ways to wear what you own, shift how you approach your style & challenge your current mindset around getting dressed.
Plus a monthly ‘client pick’ (something my clients are loving), paid-subscriber chats & more subscriber-only content!
If you subscribe to the free version of Style Mail (2 emails a month), you get:
A curated collection of the advice I’ve used with my clients through the years. With season-specific tips & inspiration.
My newest articles before I share them on social media (some of them don’t even make it to social media!).
Who am I?
I’m someone who’s always loved clothes - and I’m so grateful that I’ve been able to turn it into a satisfying career. I’m constantly humbled that my clients ask me to guide them on what’s basically a journey of self-discovery – figuring out what you like & what lights you up. And then intentionally creating a wardrobe that makes you love what you see in the mirror.
I’m originally from NY & I live with my husband & son just outside San Francisco. I started my styling business back in 2013 after being laid off from the company I’d been with for close to 14 years. And although my path to styling wasn’t a direct one – I feel like it came at just the right time, since I’m able to blend my work experience & psychology degree with a true passion for clothes & working with clients. When I’m not helping clients or writing about style, you’ll most often find me chilling at home. Or shopping & eating & walking my dog.
